Well, what a stormy end to 2021 and start of 2022 we had! Our final blog post of 2021 saw us assessing the damage post Storm Arwen and, unfortunately, a good portion of early 2022 has been taken up assessing the considerably worse (for us) damage caused by storms Corrie and Malik.
As you’ll see below, our polytunnels were completely destroyed which brought a premature end to the lovely salads, mustards, pak choi, chard and other produce which had been enjoying tunnel life and providing a diverse choice of winter salad/veg options in our farm shop on site, Farm To Table.

The reconstruction plan is underway though – the seasons wait for nobody! Our seed sowing schedule is mapped out and the sowing is underway so we’ll soon have a lot of young plants (including pumpkins of course!) looking for home.
We’ve made a short video to give you a great little insight in to the initial sowing being done right now. Take a look!
Back with more next week!
