We’ve mentioned Mizuna and how good it is in a previous post. A close relative is Mibuna, with clusters of long, narrow leaves with a peppery, mild mustardy flavour. It is a highly nutritious Asian green. The long, slender, spear-shaped greens can be lightly cooked or added to salads, soups, and stir-fries.

At Farm to Table we now have the first wintery salad offerings. The Mizuna, Mibuna and red, green Lettuce along with some Lamb’s Lettuce, Purslane, Sorrel are ready and a range of interesting mustard leaves are yet to come and be added to our salad mix. We’ll go behind the scenes with those other leaves in our tunnels soon, but for now, our interesting wintery salads are off and running with more to come.

Pop in to Farm To Table to pick up a freshly picked salad mix bag and let us know what you think.
